The Artist

I am Gia Carla , I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree major in Journalism, and I am a bona fide artist at heart.

I move forward according to my mood, instinct, and values. At the age of ten, when I first discovered that I can articulate myself better through the written word, I was often found at our porch. There I’d write my random stories on our handy typewriter and look up words in the dictionary that I wasn’t knowledgeable of. Writing frees me. It helps me go beyond the confined ideas trapped inside my imaginative psyche. It liberates my whole being. Writing is my voice even when no one listens; it is my therapy.

Music is my passion–it awakens my soul and soothes my baffled mind–it speaks in my behalf; an extension to my existence. It embodies my emotions and expresses what I can not put into words. Music opens me up to endless possibilities and empowers my spirit.

I’m an audiophile since 1984.

I also believe I’m an old soul, the kind that inspires in a more candid way.

Oh, and I love coffee. I love it so much I’d kill for a cup. So better give me my usual fix or you’ll be sorry.

Welcome to CuoreGiallo (click for more info behind the name)! The only place I expose myself  naked by means of writing outside my academic discipline. Cuoregiallo is my artistic sanctuary conceived from my ceaseless insight on life as I know it.

  1. have really enjoyed the posts I’ve read. Glad to have come across your blog. Here to stay…Julien if you’re listening…thanks for sharing the link 🙂
I’ve been told I am an old soul by a psychologist while we discussed world affairs and people over drinks at a sea facing bar in Pattaya. I took it as a compliment. However, I sometimes feel it’s a curse to be an old soul in this world.

    1. Hello! Thank you so much for taking time to read my posts. I really appreciate it. 🙂
Pattaya, Thailand? I was just in Phuket last weekend and the place was amazing! It is not a curse to be an old soul. It is a blessing. 🙂

      1. pattaya in thailand indeed…I consider that place the most relaxing in the world. It is a blessing in the next life or maybe leads to nirvana…but it is tough to survive this world with an old soul.

        1. Thailand is lovely indeed. 🙂 I agree, it is tough. But I find it fulfilling too when I get to use my old soul caliber when needed. 😉 it pays to help people; the kind of compensation not even money can buy.

  2. Hello! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established
blog. Is it hard to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I’m thinking about making my own but I’m not sure where to start. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Many thanks

    1. Hello, Megassu! Terribly sorry for the late response.

I feel you. I had the exact same thoughts before I started and I was advised then to figure out the niche that I would like to focus on and start from there. First step is always the hardest to make, but once you’ve taken it, everything then goes smooth. 🙂

Setting up is practically easy. All info are available online nowadays. 🙂 Find first your niche, a “theme” you’re passionate about. 🙂

      Hope this helped.
